On Wednesday, Control Bionics CEO, Rob Wong, was a guest on the podcast, discussing voice banking for people faced with losing their ability to speak.

In the episode, Matt Ernst, Queensland Principal Clinician for Speech Pathology at Better Rehab Ernst and Rob Wong, CEO of Control Bionics, explain the basics of voice banking, and how it differs from the similar concept of message banking. They discuss which populations voice banking is right for, and what the process looks like from beginning to end. Cost, time, and equipment is a main concern, and Wong goes into each aspect to give listeners an idea of what to expect.

Finally, Ernst and Wong touch on the importance of voice banking for people living with MND and similar conditions. Voice banking is a proactive way to get ahead of the condition, and allows people to preserve their voice if their condition eventually causes them to lose their speech.
